Jim was raised in Buffalo, NY and attended college in Fredonia, where he received a BS in Business Administration, followed by supplemental coursework in accounting to sit for his CPA. Jim served as a Vista Volunteer for a year in California, post graduation.
Upon his return to NY State, Jim began his career as an auditor with a CPA firm in Buffalo. He subsequently moved to a smaller firm where he specialized in small business taxation.
Jim moved to Ithaca in 1986 and worked for a small, regional CPA firm before joining Strebel and Strebel CPAs in November of 2004. Jim continues to specialize in personal and small business taxation.
Jim volunteered for many years with Hospicare of Ithaca. He enjoys dancing and sports. He and his wife Sylvia live in Ithaca, where they tend to their gardens and chickens and pursue a simple lifestyle.
